Entry levels

Entry to Ioanid International High School ideally takes place at two stages.

  • unticked

The start of Grade 9.  This allows your child to begin the full two year programme of IGCSEs.  We sometimes allow students to join part-way through the programme if they can demonstrate a capacity and commitment to catch up with the work that the students have already completed.

  • unticked

The start of Grade 11.  Students can access the A level programme from the start of Grade 11.  At the end of Grade 11 they sit AS exams which account for 50% of the final A level.  Again, we sometimes allow students to join part-way through or at the start of Grade 12, especially if they have already completed AS exams at another school.

If you join for Grade 9, you will need to be assessed by us, to show your competencies. We will also require a transcript and or/report from your previous school.  If you join in Grade 11 from another international school we will expect to see your IGCSE grades or MYP transcript.  Students from Romanian schools will show us the transcript of their grades.
